T-Series Bleeding Clutch & ......

Confucious say "Patience is a virtue" Ok maybe he did not say it and maybe I can't spell confusious but I've got more pressure.
I went out to see how much play I have and decided to ask my son to help bleed again. Same sequence & more air came out. I guess I need to keep doing this periodically over the course of the day & it might get better.
Yesterday I only had spring tension from the return spring on the pedal. Today I can feel some resistance and it feels more like pressure.

WOO HOO! (for now)

There ya go, and keep the master full after a few pumps, like three and check it.

My opinion, you do not have a clutch problem.

Well that's good news to know that with all my problems, my clutch might not be one of them.

You are makeing progress with the bleading so it must be air in the line still. Takes a bit to learn the process but once you have it its for life. Keep at it, give it a 10 min rest and try again, that is not a long line and should not be a big deal. Feel sure you will get it today.

JL,
Did you see the pics of the new lines?

Oh lovely, you do good work.

Do you have the flex hose to the slave installed in the correct hole? It should be coming in from the rear not the top. It's a common mistake as the bleeder screw is shipped in the box in the wrong hole. If this is backwards it's almost impossible to bleed. I'll attach a photo of the correct way.

Hoho. never thought of that. What a bummer that would be.

I'll show ya "ugly"!!! Mine's been untouched for years.

Scott's question about the clevis pin and rod... Did you replace 'em? The old ones are worn to a point they could be a problem: not allowing full travel. The hydraulics will compensate to a point, then the slave puck will be too far extended and can allow fluid to leak from the bore.

I did not see that edit. BUSTED. I did not, but will.
Another thing that is a positive is that when the pedal is depressed & held, I cannot push back the slave. Pressure is holding up fine.

Great! You have a clutch! The only other thing that can happen is the disc may be stuck to the flywheel with rust. It can usually be loosened with driveline shock if that's the case.

Driveline shock?
