Black nitride?

In my daily it appears we have a burnt exhaust valve. Some of the geo guys have had me reading about this process. Has any one had this work done? People will coat their valves for better durability and greater "slipperiness."

Yeah Will, that process has been around for years, but it's rare to do it to a regular road vehicle. Usually race engines have nitrided parts in them and also it's a good idea to have MG T series cam shafts done to harden them up. Never was cheap! PJ

any one I ask locally if they have heard of it respond with a look like Im from outer space. The Geo's burn there exhaust valves like they were made out of tupperware. Probably why it caught on with those guys. Thanks for the reply PJ.

The Geo guys burn values cause they probably run them super lean for hyper mile stuff. Just put the thing back together with stock stuff and drive it.
