On my way to work this morning, just as I'm pulling up to a red light, the big ol' SUV in front of me leaves my lane, revealing the black Jaguar XKE, now, directly in front of me. I see him look in the rearview and I wave. He waves back. His female partner/passenger turns around and we wave.

Nice car! Has the V-12 badge on the boot and a luggage rack too. Top down, of course.

I'm waiting for the day somebody posts one of these, and a little while later the other guy posts: "Blue TR3 -- right behind me at a signal this morning."

Wait a minute.....I thought a black Jaguar was also known as a Panther?

Oops...I was wrong:

- Melanistic jaguar have been mistakenly called “black panthers.” Black panthers do not exist. But black Panteras do!

Other fun facts:

- Jaguars hunt mainly at night. Especially Cobras, Mustangs, Falcons, Cougars, and even Impalas!

- The jaguar’s name means “a beast that kills its prey with a single bound.” <- I like that one!!

- A jaguar’s roar sounds like a deep, chesty cough. <- that sounds about right!
