Black carpets with tan seats - anyone go there?

Hi guys - about ready to get carpet down and I was wondering if anyone has gone with a black carpet set with a different color seat and panel combination.

I ask since black seats get a bit hot down here but already have a black carpet set. I was thinking about tan seats but not sure how goofy that would look with a black carpet.

That is a very popular combination with the BMW crowd...

Natural brown and black carpet/dash. Sounds weird, looks great.

Why would it look goofy? I think that it would be practical and look great.

I just ordered a new Dark Blue Taurus with light tan interior and I wish the rugs were a dark color, but I can't get it that way.

Isn't that now what they called the Ford Five Hundred, Paul?

My neighbor bought a new Taurus SHO around 1990 and he let me drive it. He knew I used to hot rod and thought I would put it through it's paces (he was afraid of it). I did, and he sold it the next month. That thing was scary with a Yamaha Racing V8

Sort of, Bill. My 2006 is a 500. My wife's 2008 is a Taurus. My new 2009 is a Taurus. Another brilliant marketing move by Ford. Take the name of the best selling car ever made by them and change it to a car popular from 1957-1959.

Mid to late 2009 will intro the new SHO and it's supposed to be a bear.

I put over 50K on my 2005 Montego, I have nearly 50K on my 2006 500 and over 25K on her Taurus. I get 24mpg with the AWD and I have NO complaints at all about these cars.

Brent - send those pics along when you get a chance.

Thanks for the pic Scott - I think that did the trick.

I appreciate the thoughts guys.
