Where can i find chassis number and body number stamped in my car?
It' possible to obtain the Heritage Certificate from the engine number?
What happens if chassis number plate is missed?
How can i obtain the good chassis and body number?
Regards!

Hello Fabio,

First of all did you buy the car including a title?
as it can be seen on that.

There is an indetification plate on the firewall but that can easily been removed with that respect maybe you have more luck with the body numbers

As your question of the engine this indentification tags get easily lost but if I remember correctly you should find it on the drivers side (in case of a LHD) far left of the engine but you will never now without knowing the other numbers, if the engine belonged to the car unless you have the right VIN

I have a BN 4 without engine indentification tag so don't know if it is the same engine as what was put in. I have a BN 7 as well but that car has a BJ 8 engine and no tags.
the car came with a spare engineand I assume you can guess without engine indentification tag.

Kind regards

Harry

When they register the car they made a mistake, my chassis number is BJ8 715**, but i think it should be 2715**, because my car looks a '64 car, and healey production stops at 43*** as written on many books.
How can i find good chassis number to make correction on registered title?
Regards!

Anyone can help me???
I need to find the correct chassis number stamped on the car somewhere to make correction of title, and i would like to ask an heritage certificate.
I have body number and engine number, but the chassis number it has been wrong written on the metalplate and the papers.
Anyone can help me?
Regards

Hi Fabio,
I’ve never looked for my chassis number, so I can’t tell you exactly where, but my restoration book says it’s on the right front shock tower.

Hello Fabio,

Maybe you can contact the people who issue the heritage certificate explaining them, that you have the bodynumber and enginenumber and if they are able to link this to the correct chassisnumber

Finally i received my Heritage Certificate with body number, engine number and chassis number.
I noticed that my car is a BJ8 Phase 1, the only detail wrong in my car is that i don't have glove box in the armrest, anyone know if all the Phase 1 example has glove box or not?
Regards!

Fabio,
My car is a Phase I car built in mid April as best I can tell. In addition to the arm rest cubby box, the console is about 1.5" longer at the ash tray end and the dash mirror is the older more square type not the oval type. Have a good day!
