BJ8 Wiper Motor

Hi Jim,

Nope. DC motors like the one used for the heater and wiper do not reverse when swapping polarity.

Cheers,
John

John's correct, of course. In addition, the wiper motor itself operates through a gear and dog mechanism a cable wound with a wire, which in turn moves back and forth in the tubes to the individual wiper arm, through yet another gear. So the motion the motor causes is to and fro, not rotational. So even if the motor were to run in reverse, the only change you would have to do would be to change the position of the wiper arms.
