I presently getting my BJ8 back on the road and noticed the prior owner restamped the valve cover adjust valves to "HOT" rather then the stock decal saying "COLD." Question is how bad will this mess up my timing, etc if I do not reset the valves when they are cold. Thoughts, advice, etc.
THanks
Ed

The stock valve cover instruction is to adjust the valves when HOT (not cold). However, the workshop manual says to adjustment them COLD. It's a lot easier to avoid burning your fingers when you adjust them cold, so that's how I do it. I don't believe the difference is significant to the valve clearance.
