Hello,
Cork or paper gasket for the BJ8 transmission?
Any thoughts or experience using a cork gasket for sealing the transmission, overdrive and bell housing?
I'll assume a sealant should be used with cork, and if so, what is recommended? RTV, Hylomar, Permatex Aviation Form-A Gasket?
AH Spares sells a kit that appears to have both paper and cork. Moss sells only the paper kit. Is cork a better gasket for the transmission?
Here's a photo of AHS kit. What is the black round item and 2 copper items used for?
