BJ8 top installation

Hello all,
I'm sure there have been posts about installing a new top on
a BJ8 but I can't find them. Does anyone have any links
they can direct me to for install instructions ? I have
downloaded the one that another owner posted on his website
that came with a replacement top. Helped but I'm having
a problem getting the rear portion to fit right - kind of
wrinkled, where the rest of the top when stretched fits
well. I've adjusted the rear clips holding the back onto
the rail so many times I'm in danger of ruining the new top.
Any ideas or links would really be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike, I don't have first hand experience with installing this top, but I have just removed the one on my BJ7 and it fit perfectly. I took my time removing it because I have heard the horror stories about making a new one fit well. I wanted to try to completely understand the system before I took it off because I will be installing a new one. Anyway, I believe for it to fit well it must be every tight. Therefore the amount of material gathered up in the back must make it tight when the front header is latched. (My original top was so tight that I would make sure someone was always there to help pull the header down because I did't want to put all the strain on one latch till I got around to the other side to latch it as well.) Another thought is that when clipping the material in the back, if you start in the middle and work out to the corners one side alittle then the other side alittle , the material should stretch equally till you get to the door edges. I installed a cloth top unto a 1932 Ford once and working from the middle out was the only way to get it smooth.
Of course the other possibility is that the top doesn't fit. Too Large? Just some thoughts.
