BJ8 Top Installation Detail

I currently have my 65 BJ8 at an upholstery shop having a new Robbins top installed. I spoke with the installer yesterday and he asked a question I don't know the answer to. He says there's an inside flap where the outer flap hangs over the chrome trim at the rear of the side window. He's wondering (as am I) where this flap goes when the top is up. I've looked for pictures online but can't find one of this exact detail. If anyone knows where this flap ends up, or might have a picture to share, it would be much appreciated. Here's a photo I found online with an arrow to the spot I'm asking about and then a couple of pictures of my car with the top almost done, also showing that detail. Thanks!

Mine is on the outside I believe to deflect water from entering the structural frame of the top. (like that would work) I am probably wrong, and I am interested in the answers you get.
