BJ8 starting quirk

This is no big deal as I have been living with it for a number of years but thot I would pose the question to you forum folks for your thoughts.
After my BJ8 sits for a few days when I try to start the engine it will turn over several times and not start unless I stop trying to start it the first time and try again and it starts right up. After the initial start it is fine for the rest of the day and starts on the first try until the next time it sits for a few days.

Hi Ron,
It is likely that the float chambers leak enough to drain over time. Leave the switch on for a few seconds before you start it to allow the pump to refill the carbs. When the pump slows or stops the carbs are full. Some new gaskets might help but isn't a very big problem. If you had a mechanical pump, you might have to crank it for a while to fill the carbs. Thankfully, you don't.
