BJ8 Speedometer Cable

It looks like I need to replace the speedometer cable on my BJ8. Can I get to the coupling on the gearbox from under the car, or will I have to remove the tunnel?

Yes, it can be done. IIRC, a pair of small channel lock pliers comes in handy. If it's just the inner cable--not the sheath--it can be pulled out and replaced from the back of the speedo. Don't forget the small copper washer/spacer at the adapter end.

Get the longer cable it will make the curves in routing a lot genteler-----
