BJ8 Rear Seat slide bolts

The back of the rear seats on the BJ8 folds down and is supported by a pair of slide bolts that fly outwards into escutch eons let into the side trim.

How far from the edge of the seat back do the bolts mount? Mine was re-trimmed by the PO and has no bolts nor any indication where they were. Are the fixed with normal wood screws into the material of the seat back or what?/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hi Andrew. the slides mount approximately I" back from the edge of the seat back. This measurement is taken from the raised portion of the slide to the edge of the seat back. The slides are attached with either Posi Drive or Phillips Head wood screws about #6's at 1/2" long. If the escutcheons are there you can line up on them.Regards---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif
