Does anyone know how to attach these plates to their BJ8? There doesn't seem to be anyway to attach it to the console face where the radio is supposed to go except for maybe velcro.
Thanks

There are two spring steel strips, each with a hole, to go over the flash emblem posts, being held by the push-on clips. They are just long enough to grab the upper and lower edges of the radio opening.

Been a long time Patrick,However I believe that an additional plate that spans the back of apperature in the console is required to bolt the coverplate in place. You can probably make a simple one using 1/2" X 1/8" steel member and drilling matching holes for the studs .--Keoke
As I remember correctly (and I am old enough to better remember then than now), I concur with Bob and Roger that (2) ¾” spring strips attached to the flash mounting nuts are pivoted into place and attach to t he top and bottom edges of the opening. They should be ease to create.
I've tried to upload a photo (which is 185KB, 640x480) and get this message? No matter how small I reduce it, I can not upload photos. Why?

My radio blanking plate had two straight metal tabs that stick off the back, which you pop through the holes that would have been for the radio knobs. Then you just fold them over the back of the console.
Mine is originally from my Father's car, removed after it was totalled. The blanking plate with the 3000 emblem is one of the few pieces he saved all these years. I didn't even recover it with new vinyl...just installed it as is.
