What brand and where should I purchase them from?
 
I use Deves or AE. Make sure that you order the right set. There is a set for the original piston then a different set for the AE replacement piston then a set for the reproduction piston which is a copy of the original....I think.

Total Seal. Total Seal makes a "gapless" (two-piece slant-gap) second ring that allows for a less than 2% leakdown during tests. Better seal = better performance; all else being equal.

I've been using TS gapless rings in every engine I've built since 1986. When purchasing new pistons that include rings (as most do) I only order the 2nd/gapless ring from Total Seal.
