BJ8 paint color codes

Hey all,
I know there have been questions and answers before on
BJ8 or all model color codes. I am specifically trying to
get a modern equivalent for Colorado Red as getting ready to
paint my 67 BJ8 which still has the original but very faded
Colorado red paint. The engine compartment is in very nice shape paint wise and some of the frame rails actually are
still red and escaped the dreaded black undercoat. Really
appreciate if anyone can supply a modern code.

Take a look at this website: www.britishcarweek.org/coloradored.html

It provides some background on your specific color, and gives the PPG paint codes in both quart and gallon sizes, equivalent to the old BMC RD-2 Colorado Red.

Hey David,
THANK YOU - that link is exactly what I was looking for ! In fact like the
writer said on the link, I prefer the Colorado red with more red in it than
orange.
