My name is Terry Lopez and I own two BJ8's, one is fully restored (66' Florida green/Ivory) and a 67" undergoing restoration. I've owned both since 1976. I am a member of the British Motor Club New Orleans.
 
Hey, Terry - Where Y'at? - from a former New Orleanian (Fortier '68, LSU and LSUNO). Been to several of the BMCNO shows at Delgado; great bunch of folks. Tell Keith hello for me!

Hi Mickey, we moved the New Orleans show to the north shore of New Orleans two years ago with great success. It is in old town Covington. The city blocks several streets around the town square, and we now have access to many restaurants and shopping, oh... and a brew pub, much better environment. It is now called the New Orleans British Motoring Festival and will be March 28, 2026. Hope you can make it.

If you are talking about Keith Vezina, he had a shop mishap this week, while using a transmission jack he somehow got his thumb in a bad spot and broke it in three places... and yes, he will require surgery to repair. He posted photos... not pretty!

Oh, and btw I'm a West Jeff guy, '67.

This is the day I brought it to the shop. I may be selling it, I have located a '56 BN2 that I am in negotiations to purchase. Of course it's project!

Oh, man - hate to hear about Keith's misfortune! Not fun!

North Shore's great. We get down there once or twice a year with our travel trailer to get our New Orleans "fix" and to stock up on seafood and french bread and muffuletta bread; stay in Slidell or Ponchatoula. Not sure about March at this point - will have to see.
