BJ8 - Glove box door lock

I am replacing the wooden dash on my BJ8 (the door was missing when I first got hold of the car) and I need to source a new glove box door lock.
I know these are pretty rare and I see that SC parts sell a repro unit for about £150 (no way). I have seen originals go for about £50 on ebay.

Does anyone know of a substitute lock from another car that may do the job? I am not too bothered about it being an exact fit, just something to plug the hole until I can source an original?
 
I went through the same problem and finally found out that a Nash Metropolitan uses the same glove box lock. Good luck with your search! I believe I found mine for under $100.
