BJ8 front Shroud

Does anyone know of a source for a used front shroud for a BJ8 which is reasonably clean. Mine is repairable, but I would prefer to start with something a little more solid to work from. I have been advised not to go with a new replacemnt due to problems in fitting

Neils, I don't know of a shroud at the moment. However any shroud except the one that came off that car is going to present some fitting problems. Also does your shroud have single side lights or the twin units-[just one clear lamp or a clear and an amber] others need to know to help.-FWIW---Keoke

It is for a BJ8 and has two side lights. I am having it fitted by Jules Enterprises as part of my frame rebuild - they said that if i can come up with a shroud with a single light they have some form of mold they can use to form the aluminum to punch the second light out. You are right about fitting - I am having all my panels repaired and fitted to the rebuilt frame. I always thought Austins were a mass production car - I guess the Healeys were hand built from what I have been hearing.

Of course they were mass produced. They had a mass of hammers that they used to produce them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Best I can tell you is to check with all the suppliers,Dismantelrs and restorers here in the US and also check E-bay.-FWIW---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif
