Leave nothing off just place blankets over the fenders just in case.

Where is the vacuum line to the dizzy????

Hi Susan,

I am less talented than the others here, and managed to bend both choke shafts on the carbs when removing my engine. I would humbly suggest removing the carbs before installing the engine. The choke shafts are difficult to find for the HD8's!!

Susan,
I noticed the position of the distributor - seems vacuum advance is usually pointing in the other direction.
Bob

Yep that dizzy is 180 degrees out .
