Hi, I just dug my '67 block out of the shop,taking it to the machine shop for media blasting on Monday. Like to know where's the best place to get the red epoxy paint(what kind?) for interior of block& correct green for exterior? Can I have it mixed? Also interior's original 134k, but foam has settled in bucket bottoms,is it available? Its blue /silver piping? The piping has changed colours from the sun,its kind of reddish now. I've got hog-ring pliers, so I think I can remove them safely. Thank-you for any pointers, Genos2
 
Hi Genos,
For the interior block paint, check THIS thread. Glyptal is what Dave Russell used on his engine. For some reason, some of the photos in his earlier post in that thread don't seem to work. They were beautiful shots of his engine.
 
Yes Glyptal appears red and is always used for the inside of engine blocks, while Moss Healey Green is recommended for the outside. Correct foam for the front seat bottoms can be obtained from British Car Specialties in Stockton. However, Hog ring pliers are not required to work on these seat bottoms---Keoke
 
Thankyou for the response, googled Glyptal& should be able to find it locally. PS dropped off block at machine shop, may have back fri. I'm getting excited.
 
Eastwood Restoration Supplies, (eastwood.com) has Glyptal and most any other refinishing compounds you might need.
