BJ7 Wiring

I'm rewiring the BJ7 and need to tap the brain trust. The new wiring harness has three brown with blue trace (NU) wires behind the dash. According to the wiring diagram two of these go to the "A" post on the headlight switch. I can't for the life of me find where the third NU wire goes. Connect it to the "A" post also??? Am I missing something?

HealeyRick, that's exactly what I've got, but there is a third "loose" NU wire in that same bundle. Where does it go?

Griz, I just went through this the other day. Two of the brown/blue wires go to the light switch and one brown/blue to the ignition key switch (not the starter button). Note that two of these wires are of a lighter gauge than the third wire. Whoever started the resto on my BJ7 had connected one of these wires wrong; they had connected the heavier wire to the ignition switch and the two lighter wires to the same terminal on the light switch. The lights would not work, and it took a while to figure this out, since the wire colors matched the diagram in the manual. The heavier wire should connect to the same terminal on the light switch as one of the lighter wires, and the other lighter gauge wire should connect to the ignition switch. You probably will find that one of the lighter gauge wires is slightly longer; that one connects to the ignition switch.

Thanks Blueskies! You nailed it...two are smaller gauge and one is larger. Now that I study the wiring diagram again I see what you are saying. I knew that someone on this board had to have worked through this already. The "brain trust" comes through!!
