Six studs secure the folding top frame to the inner wheel arches. What is the distance from left to right sides of the car between the innermost studs that hold the floding top mounting?

I could have the dimensions you're requesting taken off a '62 BJ-7. It's one the early interations of that model but appropriate for later BJ-7's. FYI: The frame offers little side-to-side and front to back adjustments but vertical adjustment is accomplised by thin shims. My particular car had 3 shims on each side. GONZO.
 
42-7/8" stud to stud (centerlines)on my early BJ7.
