BJ7 Exhaust

I am considering installing the Tourst Trophy Stainless Exhaust system on my 63 BJ7. Any opinions and/or tips would be appreciated.

Well, it's pretty enough that if you don't get around to putting it on the car right away, you can use it for art!

The only thing I've noticed that I'm not thrilled with is that the fittings from the downtubes to the muffler are a little loose.
I'll probably have to shim them with something, and/or use some kind of sealer to prevent leaks. If I ever put it on the car...

Obviously I can't comment on the sound.

Hey Greg you know what seals the exhaust joints up tight that gasket type RTV. Bugger to get loose later though

It certainly is art but so is a Healey. Anyone have an opinion on the sound? I presently have an old Stebro but I remember the purr of the factory system.

Probably a bit tinny when hot.

I've been told that the tinny sound goes away after a while because the muffler builds up carbon/junk from the engine. I can't verify that because my Healey is still on jackstands.

We put a Falcon SS system on our BN2. I thought it sounded 'tinny' at first but, indeed, the sound has mellowed since we've put a few miles on the car.

So how did this turn out? Gotta sound clip? I just burned through My 3rd set of the Tourist BJ8 mufflers and like the looks of the Bell system.
