BJ-7 parts- recognize them?

Does anyone know what these parts are and where they are installed on my BJ-7?
Without a doubt, those are electrons and they go in your wiring harness.

No Greg. Those are air particles from the intake.

They go right between these two things - see picture below.

:savewave:
Naa those are just static charges not going no where.

Poor Robert, you guys are mercilous, I like Anthony's answer the best.

Hi Tim,
I see you're sympathetic to a point. I figure this is a hobby and as such it should be fun. Sure, there are times when I get frustrated with a particular problem. Overall, if I didn't enjoy these cars and this forum, I'd do something else.

I enjoy these threads immensely and appreciate the wit!

Incidentally, those are interchangeable with a BT7.

sorry, I appreciate all the "answers" to my query but realize that I also need to know what& where these go

Robert,
My car is a BJ8 but the top bar looks very similar to the support bar that connects the steering column to the side of the car using one of the windshield support bolts. The length of mine is about 11.75 inches and is not bent in the center. I don't recognize the bottom piece. Hope this helps and have a good day!

:iagree: with ah3000mk111 and John, its the steering column steady (item 16 on plate A4) and as John says should not be bent.

The lower item is the very, very rare cup holder fitted to the later convertibles and Roger will probably pay big money for it, to replace his dodgy stealth Merc part. Failing that (as I have never actually seen one!) its one of The Lone Rangers stirrups for his beloved Silver!

I don't think its from a Healey (I might be wrong, but have just spent a few months hand re-drawing the parts lists). Someone will prove me wrong now! :confuse:

I await keoke's correction!

cheers Andy

:iagree:

I do not think there is room for any correction here.

as others have said the top bracket is for the steering inside under the dash.

The bottom piece is a mystery.

thanks for the replys. The bar was bent originally so I don't know. I'll check it out to see if somehow it fits the steering column.

Re. the "cup holder". As it is an item I don't plan on using anyone who can give me a fair price for it can buy it.

(I don't know which John you mean)
