BJ-7 lights on dash.

What purpose does the green light in the center top of the dashbd serve?

When does the ignition light within the tach (speedo?) illuminate. I can't seem to get it to work. Suggestions?

Any suggestions how to provide more adequate lighting for dashboard. The gauges for the speedo & tach are very dim and the other gauges seem to have no illumination.

REPLACE LAMPS WITH LEDS

I replaced my dash lights with Halogens bought from the Little British Car company. Don't know if their still in business though. Downside, the lights are too bright for the dash, you can read a book by them. Or as someone said, "There really good to see that you have the right shoes on"!

Oh, you might check if you have a bulb in the ignition socket as it is a different type of socket. If you do, pull it out of the socket and turn the ignition on, no need to start the car, just turn it on. The bulb should light. If it doesn't light check the leads as usual per the wiring diagram.

I was going to replace all the dash and brake/turn indicator lights and license plate lights with halogen.

I read somewhere that they put out an extra amount of heat and decided I didn't need that under the dash or in the brake light/indicator light assemblies.

I installed LED's and am very happy with the results.
