Bit of history on my new Bugeye

Spent a bit of time going through the paperwork that came with my new Bugeye. The car has been in the same family since 1981 or so, when the grandfather of the fellow I got it from bought it in England. The grandfather, George Broomfield, was the production manager for the Delorean Motor Company (yes, that Delorean) and shipped the car to Ireland -- it was his daily driver to the plant in Belfast. A few of the notes I found in the paperwork are on DMC company notepaper. Very cool stuff. Mr. Broomfield worked for GM as well, starting up plants in Argentina and Brazil before working for DMC. Quite the interesting life. He imported the car to the US when he was done and it's been in the family ever since.

A bit of Delorean history, mentions George: https://www.lotusespritworld.com/EHistory/DeLorean.html

Old photo, I assume of George, with the car overseas.

A note from the records, looks to be from when George was first looking at the car. I love the DMC notepaper.
