Tomorrow, the 21st December, will be my TR3's 48th birthday. I am afraid that we won't be going for a birthday drive as the forecast says that the temperature will be five degrees below freezing all day. Filthy wet, salty roads.
I tried to hose it off my Honda last weekend (Dale!) and then took several hours to chip the car out of the block of ice that formed!
 
You'll have to go down to the pub and knock down a cold one in her honor.

I was hoping that it was recommended lubricants for the car! I have just been on Penrite's, Castrol's, Miller' and Dynolite's web sites looking for the recommended engine and gearbox oils. Now I am really confused.

ginger switchell: honey, ginger, lemon juice, cold water (whisky optional)

raspberry shrub: raspberry syrup, molasses, vinegar, cold water (whisky optional)

mulled cider: 16 proof spiced cider, heated with a red-hot fire poker 'til the sugars camelize (who needs whisky?)

They really knew how to live back in the 1830s!

And that beautiful car's color scheme is remarkably familiar to us old dairy farmers ...

it was a year ago today i said to my wife "i am going to go look at a tr that i know hasn't run in 15 years, have never seen and know little about". she said "but you've never even ridden in a tr." i said "be right back" then drove to saint louis, looked at it for maybe 15 minutes, handed him a wad of cash and loaded it in a stock car trailer that would have held 2 of em. best thing i ever bought, last car i will ever sell. happy holidays

Thank you everyone. I bought my car through a dealer in Texas where it was known as the Police Car. Now I think I will have to re-name it the Cow Car!
