Birds

Has anyone had good results in removing all traces of bird droppings off of unpainted body panels.
I have sanded, Scotch Brited, soaked with solvents, soaked with metal prep, prayed, cussed and everything else I could think of short of grinding.

The acids have penetrated into the metal and things rust up in short order.

I will be sand blasting soon and will try that, but am not too excited about warping.

Any thoughts?

Re: Birds

maybe some naval jelly and primer? Havn't tried it, but it should stop any rust.

Re: Birds

Yup. Naval jelly or Phosporic acid (same thing). They sell small plastic cans of it at most auto parts stores. eats rust really good.
