Binabox up-date

From yesterday, added to the album. (last 6 pictures)

New driver's door is acquired, (Chuck had to buy Drew's dinner for it), and we got the drive shaft from his donor car and new windshield and frame that is in much better condition than Binabox's. I don't even think we'll have to put new glass in it. Wiring harness is getting ordered today (I told John not to let Chuck order anything without clearing it with me) along with some rubber and felt and other odds and ends. John's giving us 'his cost price' on the stuff.

Ordering the wiring harness from British Wiring. I like Advance Auto Wire, but from what I hear, BW harnesses look just like the original ones where the ones from AAW are modified. Not sure if we need something extra for driving lights too, or a headlight relay?

Paint. Must decide on paint. Must decide on paint.

Re: Binabox up-date

Janel - I'd like to match his 'cost' price to my 'normal' price,,,,just for the heck of it...you can PM me.

Re: Binabox up-date

I will do that, as soon as I have a list, okay? I'm tired of arguing with Chuck over just about everything regarding this restore. He thinks is easier to order from John and it go straight to the shop. I said that's fine if John has the best price.

Re: Binabox up-date

It is easier & the restoration may be predicated on him selling the parts...just, there are different levels of 'dealers' & there are different levels of 'distributors'...& prices are dependant on which a person is..I'll just tell you that I'm at the top of the distributor list which is way above any dealer

however, he might'of quoted his labor based on him selling the parts....in that case...

Re: Binabox up-date

No, I'm sure not Tony. His prices are hourly for body work, painting and anything mechanical, flat hour rates that he quotes everyone. We're not getting any better or worse prices on that than the stranger that comes in off the street.

Re: Binabox up-date

Not trying to talk you out of buying from him, just pointing out that a person needs to check around - heck, check around on my prices...sometimes there are lower ones out there (rarely but it happens)
