Bill Boddy-RIP

Bill Boddy has passed on. He was 98, so a pretty good run. I always enjoyed his stuff. I would imagine he has the longest career of anyone writing about cars.
 
Wow. WB was THE authoratative source when we'd hunt racing news in the (late) '60's.

Good run, indeed.
 
Very sad, but a good long life.
I had the pleasure of meeting Bill, often knwn as "The Bod", a number of times. My father and he were contemporaries and quite good friends. Bill was a real enthusiast with an amazing memory and as I remember, taste for old, small, often obscure and at times decrepit Vintage cars.
A great man indeed.
