BTW, Saw an article that stated the area between the Mississippi and the Rockies now has a smaller overall population than when the "frontier" was declared closed in the late 1800s.
 
I remember as a kid all of us kids would go down by the GLF feed mill and wait for the big buffalo to come in pulling a lot of freight cars, it always stopped at the mill for an hour or two. We thought the engineer was something special to be able to (Drive) that monster. Sometimes he would let us follow him and the oiler around while they oiled and greased it, talking all the time. There was an old wooden shed, not much bigger than a phone booth (remember them) and an old lady would come out with a flag and stop traffic when the train went through. Good old days for a kid, very simple and no worries! :encouragement:
