Ford still vested @ 40% but no longer in control. I posted another link to this in "The PUP". Knew Ford was having troubles but I didn't think that they'd let AM go.

Hello all,

to me Aston Martin ceased to exist when they stopped making real hand built cars. I know that they would not have survived but the modern Aston has none of the heart of the older models.
Now that TVR has stopped production?, (and of course they were not in the same league) ther are only two hand built cars left in the U.K., Morgan and Bristol to the best of my knowledge?

Though few can argue that Ford did well with Aston Martin, I'm glad to see it back in the hands of true enthusiasts. My only disappointment is that Bond will have to find another mode of transport, as Ford has exclusive rights to vehicle placement. So far, sources point to the Jaguar XF for Bond's next car.
