Big MARRS race this weekend

Anyone in the Mid-Atlantic wishing to see some good racing should come out to Summit Point this weekend. There is a full field for racing Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with 280+ cars entered, divided among 9 race groups. With championships on the line it should be exciting and fun. In the small bore field alone there are 45 cars - and in H prod 8 cars so far. In H prod there are 3 LBCs entered - myself, five-time national champion Randy Canfield in his BE, and Greg Nagy. Forecast my include rain on Sunday and Monday (which I would personally prefer). If you've never seen real good grassroots SCCA racing, this is a good opportunity. There should be some very good racing in H and F (although the cars at the front of F are Miatas, the drivers in that class all started with British iron). If you do come out, stop by the paddock at the #0 H prod BRG Midget and say hi. Mike MacQueen a/k/a Buggerall.

Saturday sucked for Mike and I, but Sunday and Monday led to some GREAT racing. British Car count was 4 Spridgets, an Elva, and a TR-4. Sorry, I do not count those newfangled MINIs, they use metric wrenches.

Here is video of me catching and trying to pass Mike on the last lap.
You Tube Video This kind of stuff went on a few times between the two of us

Very nice video, Fred. Thanks for editing this clip and posting it. It was a heck of a weekend, once again a test of man v. machine, as i thrashed to replace the shattered crank pulley Saturday night (which involved a 4 1/2 trip home nad back to pick up the spare, not an item I usually pack. All I can say is - wait til next year!
