Yesterday a friend and I hauled my son's MGB out of the storage facility he has been using. Owner is selling so long term storage is a thing of the past. The MG has been sitting for about eight years. Son and daughter in law are BIG into Miata's and autocrossing so MG has been forgotten .
First order of business new tires as the four on the ground are flat and cracked, almost hold air, at least for a little while. Clutch and brake hydraulics are a thing of the past, too. Never tried to get it running, didn't want to put that ancient gas into the system. Car needed kingpins when first stored and I don't think they fixed themselves.
Car has a good shell, nice paint, pretty good interior and a rebuilt engine with a good working tranny. Lot of potential but better him than me. You could call this a "barn find" but actually it was never lost. Bob
