New member to forum. Hello, I 'm always looking to people smarter and more experienced than me especially in vintage racing. I campaign a '57 100-6 MM in FIA Group 2 trim. Our club requires 70 series bias-ply tires to qualify for the vintage grid. I currently run with Hoosier Vintage TD's 550 x15. Does anyone have any other alternatives?

The short answer is no. TDs are about the only game in town for bias-ply race rubber suitable for vintage.

Some of the vintage clubs here on the east coast (like VRG, the club I run my Spridget with), will allow DOT-radials in vintage. I'm running Toyo RA1s and there are lots of other DOT-radial choices.

I run Dunlop L-series bias-plyed tires on my Elva Courier. They come in various sizes and you can get further info at: www.sascosports.com. I think the Dunlops are a bit narrower in tread width and section than comparable sized-Hoosier TD.

Sasco is in VA but I know there is a distributor out your way.

This is by far my favorite video. I found it a few months back and now watch it on my HD big screen my wife and kids really love it when the sound shakes the floor. Our local Healey club has a connection with the Dutch Healey racers on the video, the're a great group and have really well prepared cars as you could see.

Thanks for the info. The Hooziers are good for 2 weekends of hard racing. I think your Elva maybe just a little lighter than my Healey.
