big healey primer color?

Offline
o.k. so ive got the book with all the code numbers and names of colors for both big and small autsin healeys, yesterday someone asked me what original color primer was used at the factory, i thought about it a moment and had to tell her "i dont know", imagine!, so thats my question for today, what color/colors of primer did they use at the factory?. :savewave:

Hi Anthony,
For my car, which be OEW, the primer was that brownish-red.

gregw, wow! thanks for your virtually instantananeous responce, when i got home yesterday first thing i did was scrape some blue paint from a couple of small places on the 100m and found "zakly" that, kinda flat red, i wasnt sure since the previous owner of the "pool healey" property had a body shop and i had no idea what iteration the paint job might have gone through. :savewave:

john, id first like to congratulate you on all the progress youve made on your healey, it seems to have progressed steadily and rapidly, good for you!, lots of us here wish we could say the same, and thank you for the information on the primer color. :savewave:

Hey Antony, that's because his name is almost like "Progress"

Actually it is because I am retired and am able to spend 6 to 8 hours a day, 7 days a week on the project. Also it is fun to raise a piece of junk back from the dead to something presentable. Keeps the mind active. This is my forth restoration. Have a good day!

John
