Big Healey Air Filters

I am glad that "easy morph" was made; gave me a chance to find out where the springs came from.
Patrick, do you think the Jule springs would work as well concerning ride height and quality of the ride with an orginal frame that I know is more flexible than the Jule frame...........I suppose I am wondering if the Jule springs would be too stiff for the more flexible orginal frame. Any thought are appreciated !!

John
A tough question for me to answer John since everything on/in my Healey is either new or rebuilt(except for the shocks). I've only put on about 250 - 300 miles so it rides like a new car which for a sports car of the 60's era is still firm and/or stiff. My shocks were rebuilt about 20k miles ago but passed my testing for function so I only had to glass bead them, spot-faced them for the bolts, check fluid levels and reinstall. I'd recommend that you contact Martin directly with Jule Enterprises for your question. Martin does go by "Frameman" on the BCF so if he's checking the BCF he may respond to you as soon as he see's your post.

I am planning on using the Welch filters primarily because of flow concerns especially with the 2". There is not a lot of surface are on the stock units that probably necessitated the course "filter" media to ensure adequate flow.
Replaced the rear leafs on my 67 with quality British made set but still found I had to remove one leaf to get proper ride height.
Finally, I did not like the appearance or extra weight of having the rear resonators (muffflers?) and changed my exhaust to the BJ7 type.
Regret that decision now. Sounds great around town, but as jeepster said, it gets really tiring on trips....earplugs required.

I like my Denis Welch fiter unit. I wish it was a black plastic frame instead of the red but I understand it can be painted. I also installed a filter for the "T" fitting on the rear of the valve cover where the hose that goes from the T fitting to the original air cleaner.
