Bic Healey in Detroit...

Country flag
Offline
My wife, Sue, and I had a wonderful opportunity to meet Brian "Bic" Healey and his wife Mary last night. They were in Detroit to attend Donald M. Healey's induction to the Automotive Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, we missed the coronation, but I vow to visit the museum soon!

Thanks to the S.E. Michigan Austin-Healey Club, about thirty (30) of us met at Deluca's just outside of Detroit. About an hour's drive to the north for Sue & I.

Here's my token for the night, Bic autographed his picture in his brother Geoff's book. The book itself is sentimental as it was given to me by the late Ray Caivano when I bought BN6L-942 from him in 1978.

There were a few Healeys (the motorized type) in attendance

Yes, for once I really am the fly in the corner!

Kudos to the Detroit club for putting it together. It was the first time for us to meet most of them and have a chance to get aquainted. Looking forward to seeing them all again!
