Better hurry if you want your master sleeved

Dang, I hope the one I got back from him works ok! He will be long gone before I get to install it... Sad to see a craftsman go.....

Indeed, it is a shame. I sent mine off yesterday, don't know when I will get to install it. Didn't have the $$ for it, but had to get 'er done, so hopefully I get a Christmas bonus to cover it!

Joey and Edd,

As you might imagine, there have been a lot of these done in the last 5 or 6 years. I have been in contact with about 80-90% of the people who have had them done and I can count the problems that have been encountered on one hand and still have a couple fingers left over. Of those, about half of any issues have been "user error", so have no fear about reliability. He does all the work personally, so the odds are quite slim that you'll have a problem.

I have a close working relationship with Joe (for over 15 years) and will continue to be in contact with him after the official retirement date. That is to say, I will help out anyone that has had theirs done through me or by my (known to Joe) referral. Joe is one of the absolute best I have ever done business with, and for as long as is reasonable (for him), I will be able to take care of you. Just let me know if any assistance is needed.

Gerard, Is there an official retirement date at this point in time. I just learned this AM that I'm going to need one resleeved. An acquisition is about to happen, a deal made this AM.

I have no doubt that the work will be great. With him retiring, I guess you need to start rebuilding and sleeving masters Gerard

Agreed, this sounds like apprenticeship time to me. An opportunity Gerard in your spare time.

Hi Jim,

You finally landed that Bugeye?

According to the web site, work must be submitted by December 31st. Anything received after will be returned.

Time to get anything you've had on the shelf in a box and on it's way.

Gerard, Let me know if you got my PM?

I'm not worried about a master being sleeved, it's the possibility of feeling like a shafted slave that concerns me...:frown:

Just had mine done and he did a beautiful job. If it's even a consideration for your MC, you might want to just get it done before you can't and regret it.

Dan
