Bet she was a Yankee

yessirreee bobby (or whatever ...)

long as we keep forcing facts and regimentation down their throats instead of developing their personal responsibility, that problem will grow and grow and ...

at least they showed some intelligence in carefully laying out all their plans in advance! :frown:

Nine and ten year olds! Gimme a break. I`d be willin` to bet my Wife could/would whip thier arses all at once and come out of the fray without a scratch.
But then I guess there would be lawsuits to face and all of that hoopla.
The "I don`t like the way you looked at me and now i`m gonna kill you and if you try to stop me i`ll sue you" attitude is getting out of hand.

Geeze I remember when if the teacher or anyone elder than I was corrected me, even to the point of an arse warming. It was best not to tell good old dad if you didn`t want some more of the same.

Where has all the respect for your elders gone? I`m afraid to say for fear of invoking a huge political debate!
I`m 60 years gone by and STILL respect anyone older than I am. *SIGH* I guess it was just the way I was brought up.

Kerry - does this sound familiar?

"The young people of today love luxury; they have bad manners; they scoff at authority and lack respect for their elders; they contradict their parents..."

That was Socrates - over 2000 years ago!

The more things change, the more they look the same. Ain't it fun?

Tom

nutmeg, we have to be very gentle with these kids!, how would you like it if your teacher was late every day with the milk and cookies?

Socrates also said "When I was 18 I could not believe how ignorant my father was. By the time I was 22 I was amazed at how much he had learned in four years!"

Justa pickin' ana grinin'

I was taught respect for my elders as well and being now in my 50's that hasn't left me. I couldn't image trying anything even close to this with one of my youth's teachers. They were mostly World War 2 veterans and would not have put up with it.

Actually I thought the only good line in the recent remake of the Dukes of Hazzard was "we prefer the term Appalachian Americans" - ymmv of course...

Okay,

The article left out that it was a SPECIAL ED CLASS.

What could a teacher have done to get nine special ed kids to plot such a elborate and brutal thing?

That is the question I would like answered.

IMHO For every action there is reaction.

Pat

All this crap started when they took the yard stick away from the teachers! The parents, even though they won't admit it, are the major ones at fault for all this mess! You can't scold my child or I'll sue you! Don't smack my child's hand with a ruler, I'll sue you! Don't talk harsh to my child, I'll sue you! So what happens now, the kids run the schools! If you spank your own child now for being bad, someone wants to put you in jail for child abuse. I say, give the authority over the kids back to the teachers that they once had and keep the so called "Do Gooders", minding their own kids and keeping their noses out of other peoples business. We'd be a lot better off. JMHO. PJ

If the teacher can get a bunch of kids in special ed to the stage where they can - as a group no less - come up with a complicated long term plan such as this, clearly they are doing something right!

Paul, Ive mention this on our forum before that up into j.h.s. my dad would go up to school at the beginning of each term introduce himself to all my teachers and give them each unrestricted permission to beat, bite, burn, smack, kick, choke, etc. the living daylights out of me my two brothers and my sis if we even looked at one of them sideways, needles to say he never had to go up to see any of them, must have worked all four of us turned out pretty good, unfortunately many parents are afraid of having little "chip" or "summer" be traumatized by the slightest bit of discipline, IMHO way too much physcobabble has been introduced into our lives in general. :yesnod:

"Spare the rod, spoil the child."

Things have changed. I was NEVER spoiled. :jester:
