Hello all. I just happened upon this forum, and there is a TON of useful information!!
I am restoring a '59 bugeye (currently taken apart) and want to put in 1275 motor/transmission and disk brake conversion. There is a midget for sale near me but the owner died and they don't know the year (they think either '74 or '75). I know that I want a 1275 engine, but wanted to make sure that I get the right one. Is there a big difference between years '66 to '74? And which year is the best?!
I wanted to know what to look for before I head out to see it. If '74 is a good year for this engine, can I tell that it was a 74 or older if it doesn't have rubber bumpers?
