But, that won't alter where the rotor is pointing when #1 is ready to fire. The only way to change that relationship is to either install the dog on the bottom of the dizzy backwards (not recommended, but possible); or the correct method is to disassemble the pedestal under the dizzy so the drive gear's engagement with the camshaft can be changed.
Dale doesn't want to do that, and I don't blame him ... it runs so don't fix it. But as noted, that is the reason the plug wires do not fit as they should.
