best way to tighten alt. pulley

I have a new alternator and pulley. What is the best way to keep the pulley grom turning to achieve the proper torque? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Bob

I have always done that nut with an impact wrench (with the unit off the car)... that way it is not necessary to immobilize the pulley.
