Best way to remove seam sealer?

A couple pics of the fun I am having. The top one is where I cut the ripped section of metal out of the trunk and fabricated a patch panel (The car was hit in the rear at some point before I purchased it). This little flaw was a nice little surprise after getting it blasted. I am finally getting quicker at this process but anywhere I can work smarter I am up for it.

In the lower picture you can see the seam sealer, I was just wondering what removal methods you have found the most effective? A razor scraper and wire wheel work OK but can't get everywhere. Does paint stripper work? I would prefer to see what has been done in the past before making a big mess.

A lot of that old seam sealer was asphalt based, so paint or lacquer thinner and a scraper will work. For the other hard stuff, I used paint stripper and cleaned the seams with soap and water, blew it out.
 
Thanks for all the info. Looks like I will scrape as much as possible and use paint thinner to clean up the rest (much happier to use that stuff than paint remover).

The backboard attachment may look good, but I get to replace, the trunk floor, main floorboards, sills, both forward deck sections, part of the rear panel, and both B post back sides. So it is not all great, of all the areas where 6's have problems, mine has it but just enough to require attention.

FWIW, when I had the car media blasted the guy said of the British cars he blasts mine was "pretty clean"
 
A cone shaped stiff wire brush mounted on a electric angle grinder works wonderful. A good tip before you re-seamseal is to spray an epoxy base primer first then seal over top of that. Seam sealing over top a etching primer may cause some compatibility issues. Many sealers will crack in time over etching primers.
