Here is a picture of the old and new Avon 185/70/15 compared to each other. The new one is taller and has a Z pattern down the middle whereas the old one only had a straight line because the tyre was adapted from the original 165 mould. The old one was never 185/70/15. I believe the section might have been 185 but the profile was only 65.
