Best price for Minilite Knock-offs?

I'm looking for a set of knock-off minilite style wheels for my B. Vicky Brit wants $1200 plus for them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif Anybody know where to get these at a more reasonable price?

wow... this is a tough one. I find lots of disc-wheel to knock-off conversion kits for disc-wheeled cars, but to go from an original knock-off to disc wheel is almost impossible to find. I thought of searching the net for just the hub assembly to convert a disc wheel to knock-off use, but to no avail.

I checked Moss... they want 1400'ish for a set of 4.
Proper MG wants about $1200.

I found more options by searching for "Center lock" minilite wheels but it looks like about $1200 is the low point, and I still couldn't find "center lock"/knock-off/knock-on hub kits for use on MGs with OEM wire wheels.

I hope this helped, and keep us posted on your findings... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Nunyas, if you want to go from wire wheels to disk wheels I have a few ideas for you. You can either buy a used set of rostyle hubs and put on all 4 corners, get rostyle hubs up front and swap complete rear ends (the difference between the two in width is about 1/2"), or you can find someone near by who wants wire wheels and swap hubs and or rear ends and you both end up happy for no extra cost.

Adam, it's not for me, Roadstr6 was looking for knock-off wheels for his car. So, I searched for what I could find to try and help him out a bit. I'm sure your info will help him out though. However, there's something about a real center-lock/knock-off wheel that's attractive versus standard bolt-on wheels... maybe it's the small bit that sets them apart from the 'norm'.

Thanks, 69MGC. I appreciate the heads up! However, I've already decided to switch to bolt-on wheels and have purchased a set of 15x6 superlites. They look awesome!
