Who has the best deals on:

high volume low pressure oil pumps

water pumps

gasket sets

timing chains

etc...

Believe it or not, some of this stuff is available at your local discount auto store (AutoZone is my area...not sure if they are in your area).
Otherwise, I'd support some of the vendors that advertise here at BCF.

When it comes to gasket sets, the 'best deals' might not be the best route. Payen gaskets are well reputed, yes, they cost a couple of bucks more, but you may regret using a cheaper head gasket.
I purchased a water pump from one of the 'usual suspects' and had no problem with it, again, maintenance will keep them alive longer.

That's sounds good. I have a copper head gasket waiting for her. I rebuilt the motor a few years ago and decided to "do it right." Getting ready to rebuild it the way I wanted to the first time.

Regardless of where you buy, don't go directly to the big catalog suppliers - find one of their dealer/distributors with whom you're comfortable & buy from him...you'll usually get a discount, the percentage depending on the dollar value of annual purchases he makes from the big catalog guys - the more he buys, the greater discount he could pass to you. A big dealer/distributor will have connections at Moss, Victoria British, Engels, MacGregors and others so he can always find a part in the event one supplier is out of stock.

Chears for Tony.

Sure - or email...or PM

However, don't ignore your local parts guys either...they do have some items you can get on the spot or overnight - heck, I even use them for some things (Advance Auto is best place for Champion N9Y spark plugs & NGK plugs for my MGB's!)
