Well... I had Friday off so I decided to do two things this weekend. Move the temp sending unit to the head (from the radiator), and put in a 160 thermostat (going to start getting hot here in a few days)... Everything seemed to be going just fine....
Put everything back together yesterday - wanted to give the sealants time to set, so didn't do anything else until today. While I was putting the coolant into the radiator I could hear running water – not a good thing... Turns out the sending unit was not seated well enough, so water running out of the threaded in part... Darn! Yep! Those were close to the exact words....
So spent the past few hours trying to figure out a method to seal it up…. I decided to go with a little bit of creative gasket making, and now my fingers are crossed.
Wish me luck.
