The "Mr. Coffee" carafe is a left-over from one of two of those poxy things, two failures inside of eight months. It gets used as the vessel for what's left of the first brew-up when I just KNOW it's gonna require a second pot before the day's adventures end. Today is one of those days... !I did not notice the brand, but did see that you have TWO coffee carafes but only one cup. Must be a thirsty fellow! (Or that the MG problem requires some serious noggin-scratching!)
In all seriousness, best of luck with the diagnosis / repair.
Just pulled the head for the second time. Had the same issue: blowin' blue-white out th' pipes. I did *not* disassemble the valves on the first go, saw evidence of head gasket "tracking" and as this engine was built over twenty years ago, just said: "Ah HA!" and cleaned all surfaces and put it back together. Now it's apart again just an hour ago, took the valves apart to find NOT ONE of the exhaust valves has a good complete seat... and only two inlet stems still had seals. My bad for not goin' "all in" the last time. And the new style Payen head gasket seems to have allowed some water past it so called Moss and Jason seems to have found me a composite gasket. We'll see. Meanwhile it's hand-lapping time. *sheesh*
Oh. And we're just now workin' up to our 40th year.
